Chrisbard...try this...download a 32 bit copy of Mint 15 and burn the ISO. Then check your media... it almost always good, but check it when you get the chance right before you install. Check your
ram as well.
Once that's done just have it take your entire hard drive. It will install with all default settings... it's truly a no brainier.
Then if you think you can't do something in Mint 15, don't give up ask ...ASK HERE where your friends are, we can help you.
This will not give you DirectX 10 or 11 games...yet.... one day it will, but not yet.
If that's what you want you will still need Windows or a Game console.
