Too cool for school! It's great when someone comments on a film I posted about. Thanks!
Just in case you don't know Gaelic like I don't know Gaelic, her first name is pronounced "seersha" in Ireland. She's outstanding in "The Lovely Bones" (2009) I highly recommend it.

IMdB has a still from "Atonement" (2007) in it she looks tiny and very young.
She's been nominated for an Oscar and has many other awards.

Sorry that "The Lovely Bones" is no longer available, it's a very good flick. I'll have to search Netflix for "Atonement," hope it's good.

I haven't seen it yet and watching it isn't a priority item on the big list of what to do. I will let you know after I've seen it.

B-b-but your most excellent animated avatar seems to say "abandon all hope ye that enter here." Or sumpthin' like that.
What? Am I wrong AGAIN?

Wouldn't be the first time. Or, alas, the last time. Hope you're well!

I tried that cure (and most others) as well. Amazingly none of them worked very well.
So you carry the card too! I love it

I had no idea, you certainly seem to be an even keeled individual. Me too, nudge nudge, wink wink, but I'm listing almost twenty five degrees to the port side. Does this mean that I'm stuck in an eternal circle? Oh noes!
But I also have chronic severe depression. I know, don't complain, it could be worse. And how, but specificity escapes me atm.

C'est la vie!

I always loved "you don't look like you have a problem." It's a mental condition-not warts! It doesn't show.
Depression is such a ball breaker. My sympathies.

I guess it would be better that people who "have a problem" carried signs around their necks for the world to see? Nah, I'm thinking that all god's creatures have a problem of some sort. Some just seem more fortunate than others. Uh-oh, THEY are the real boogers in the world.

Not really, it's not good that we, ok, I, am so so quick to judge others. Guilty, yer honor!

I would be surprised if you were that guilty.
Do we-I- judge others? you bet! I like to think I judge by their actions but I can be as opinionated as the next person-sorry to say that, just depends on the subject. I'm liberal one day-a**hole the next.
Being bi-polar passes the blame around!

Durn, this is supposed to be " "The" Topic for emerging 64 bit hardware and softtware."
As that's history of long ago (and AMD surely is responsible for that. Go Intel! Arrgh, Intel can bite me, they are not good people. I remember them pushing their ridiculous excuse for ""consumer"" 64-bit.

I changed it to a movie review topic. But not officially, of course.
Wait a minute, what are I supposed to be writing here? Dammit, I haven't seen any noteworthy movies lately. Why? 'Cause going to a movie theater is far, far too much trouble. And buying up to date flicks is far too expensive. So it's TCM black and white oldies for me.

Funny thing, Turner Classic Media actually went to the trouble of making a handful of old black and white DVD's into Blu-Rays. Amazingly, the difference is definitely noticeable. And they're only a little bit more than their DVD's. Talk about sharp focus B&W!

Wait a minute, wth am I supposed to be posting about?
Oh, Bi-Polar Affective Disorder with a side of constant depression. Arrgh, we all have a cross to bear. But seriously, a friend is a serious Christian. But I guess I'm destined for hell, because three years in Catholic schools as a lad turned me against Christianity. Big time. And possibly forever.

Sheeite, I'm missing responding to the point of your post. Please to forgive this unworthy one!

This is one heavy movie. If you're in the mood for some gravitas cubed, here it is:

"Incendies" It's a French flick, but well subtitled. Available if you have DVD's delivered in physical form from Netflix.

And who knows elsewhere. If you're feeling just too darn giggly, this'll bring you down to Earth. And how.

I had completely forgen this thread. Are we to contemplate that our bad behavior (off topic) will not be chastised?

I have an unreasonable bias against sub titles. (My mothers fault, I'm sure!)
