I'm thinking more highly of the alternative all the time! ":O}

Free AOA case badges, you know you need one! The world presses heavily on the shoulders of thinking humans. So I've been told, never felt the pressure myself, huyuck. Free case badges, step right up!

Absolutely beautiful weather we're having in the Pacific Northwest. Not a cloud in sight, nice and warm, fantastic.
Five grams of gold leached out of one ton of crushed rock. It would be better if cyanide wasn't used to grab the precious metal. The stuff ends up in creeks and rivers and in the drinking water of some people, not to mention that it kills wildlife.
The Navajo or Hopi people's elders say it's time to stop digging into the Earth. They predict dire consequences if we don't. The forecast of ugly futures is popular. Does this mean it's time to correct the course we have chosen?

Way down _____ in the land of ______. I don't remember how the rest of it goes. So why mention it at all? Got me there, I admit candidly.

The Navajo and Hopi know a lot more about our Earth Mother than the filthy corporations do.

They talk to the spirits. We should listen to them.

And that is a fact. It's sad that we listen so poorly.

End times and the end of time are a popular concern lately. Read a factoid alleging that Feb 1, 2019 is the day of doom. As all posited dates of doom are wrong--so far, I try to plan a reasonable life between the points of paranoia. AOA case badges are FREE to good, or even middling Member households. Batter up!

That year rings a bell from the south. I wonder if the Mayans forecasted the end of their own "empire?"

"Twirling, twirling, twirling into the future" said Kodos or Kang, disguised as Senator Dole in a great episode of The Simpsons.

You mean there's a reason I get dizzy?

I've known a woman for more than thirty years and love her dearly. It's simply not practical to be together. Kinda sucks. There are more fish in the sea. Hold that thought, cloasters.

Perhaps you've reached a point in your lives where the impractical should receive further consideration. After all this is about your lives and how you spend your time from here on out yes?

Thoughtful post, thanks Daniel. I'd probably have to move to northern California. I'd lose my friends and "support system" here. After all, I said "later" to San Francisco and made Seattle my home for 25 years, and the rent in California is vicious. Not that it's all that reasonable here!

I've taken Amtrak to Emeryville, er, SFO before. Much more comfortable than the Hound! I'm reluctant to fly, it's a yucky ordeal nowadays and there's a chance I'm on the fly-not list. I dunno, it's a fair prospect that we'd drive each other around the bend if we cohabitated.
