Talking Soyo Dragon +

I hear these are pretty good especialy with the kt266a chipset- i know surly joe has one of the old ones and it works great- anyone with other experiance? I think i might pair it with a xp 1900 and use a 166fsbx 12mp and get close to a 2 gig :-) :-) :-)

Unless Soyo's quality of components and QC has improved dramatically over the last eighteen months I wouldn't touch one of their mainboards. Even with the proverbial pole.

I would have to agree. I've dealt with soyo boards quite a few times, and they've all ended up dead....

sy7vca, man I beat that board, water/pelt cooling , voltage hack, drownings, U name it , it's still runnin 100% at my aunts house. they are tough as far as I am concerned.. The soyo 7ada aint that great IMHO, I dont have any brand loyalty on these things, I just build what gives me the least probs.
I've built a half dozen dragons and I swear by them for high end G-force/radeon workstations I have had nuthin but good luck with them, I used to build on the ECS AZ11e/ea , but had to go DDR and I had some major compat probs with the AD11 boards. so I tried a few others and ended up buyin myself a dragon cause I liked em so much =D

I loved the 6VCA, which many despiced, returned two 7VCA boads dead out of the box. Soyo can deliver, it's consistency they have wanted for in the past, in my opinion.
