On the other hand, if you're a real cheapskate like me, you might get 2gig+ out of a $50 1700+. ![]() Yes, $95 is very cheap for 2.3ghz.... but I like to think of it at a 50% discount for 10-15% performance drop, and some people are getting 2.3ghz out of their 1700+. ![]()

Best bang for the buck huh....... The processor will have to be definitely an AMD chip. As for the chipset of the motherboard, Nforce2 chipset is the way to go for gaming. The MSI Nforce 2 based mobo doesnt cost that much compared to other brands. If thats too expensive, get a mobo based on the VIA KT333 chipset. Although I recommend you give consideration to either a KT400 or Nforce 2 based board because they natively support USB 2.0 and AGP 8X ![]() |
