A real easy question

Hi all I got a Asus WiFi AI deluxe S939 motherboard a few months ago and I'm getting my 64bit CPU next week (moneys abit tight so had to wait for prices to drop) the only thing is I cant afford the RAM for another 2 months!!!! I have a Gb of 233Mhz PC2300 RAM in my current rig what would happen if I put that on the new montherboard (it needs 400Mhz) would I damage the board and/or the RAM or would it just not run as fast as it normaly would?

Thanks

i have the asus wifi mobo and somewhat disappointed. the hardware (proprietary connector and card) aren't that bad but the software that asus has is the worst software i've seen. i don't think i'll ever go with that kind of setup ever again after finding how difficult it can be. i forked over $20 and got a nice netgear 11.g card.
