San Diago 4000+ Overclocked.

3.15GHz under water, not bad!

It's in french, but the screenshots are in English.

Hmm, anyone have any idea when the San Diegos will be in the mainstream department as far as pricing?

I always like to go middle of the road, atleast at this point in my life where money is indeed an issue...

I'm sure pricing will go down with the advent of dual cores on the market, and the planned jump in AMD model numbers... but by how much?

The San Diago's look like they will be slightly more expensive than the current Clawhammers.

I dont think Clawhammers are all they are cracked up to be. I know of one person who got 2.8ghz on a Winchester 3200+ (dsio). And one person who got 2.85ghz on a 3200+ Winchester, which was a system I built, which was on air (XP-90 and Vantec 92mm Tornado). The other was clocked to 2.98ghz (about, he didnt make it to 3ghz) on a Thermaltake Bigwater System. You cannot really argue with that. They were all S939.

Even my "budget" (dsio) S754 NewCastle runs at 2.53ghz 24/7.

I would love to see what kind of stuff a Clawhamemr can pull off. Never seen results. Because I dont know anyone who owns a Clawhammer.

I used to own on. It was a terrible overclocker. Needed an extra 0.275V and Extreme cooling just to reach 3GHz and even then it wasn't overly stable.

Still, I should be able to get hold of a Winchester to abuse. So we will see how far it will really go with proper cooling.

My newark was bought today in taipei. I'm looking at 5-6 weeks until it gets here. 3700+ 754 diego for about $350US. I'm hoping the singlechannel mem interface will allow for higher clocks.

the diego's are 90nm claw's...

Now your talking my language. I was refering to the 'abused' part. As my PC's LAN ID is 'abused'
