KV8 pro questions

If anyone can shed any light on any of these I would be very grateful.

1) Is it worth updating to the latest bios?(version 22 i think) im currently using version 16, Ive had a bad experience using these windows based bios update programs and I like the other methods even less, but if it will make any major improvements then ill do it.
2) The uguru software always reports a different temperature to the bios(about 25c difference) meaning I cant use the fan speed settings because the pc shuts down before the fans step up(the pc still thinks the cpu is 15c ), I had this problem with my previous KV8 pro.
3) Are there any advantages to putting a heatsink on the southbridge chip?, it gets warm during normal use and Ive discovered that for some reason I can get a higher o/c by raising the SB voltage

I like to keep up to date with motherboard bios updates, but they aren't always essential, that temp problem you mention may well be solved with the latest bios though.

There are no disadvantages to having a heatsink on the southbridge unless it would interfer with any pci cards. I don't know if it would really help all that much but as long as it's installed right it can't hurt
