Socket 939 to AM2 cooling adapter

Apparently these guys are working on an adapter to use any two post CPU cooler for socket 939 on an AM2 system.

This was good news for me after investing a considerable amount in my Asetek Vapochill Micro (soon to be lapped and modded with a high speed Vantec Tornado Fan).

Now, when will they be making an adapter for socket 939 to use AM2 chips? (Is that even possible?)

Very good question! Sorta doubt that AMD would approve of an adapter that caused them to lose sales. They might see it as: Do you want a S939 CPU or an AM2 processor? They need to keep the motherboard manufacturers happy, too. Less sales? Tsk! I'm slow to blame AMD for a socket change. Intel does mainboard changes by the dozens in the time that AMD changes a socket form factor.
