I'd like to hear what is being done about current production. It's good to talk about what you may have in the future, just not good to talk about it right after you release junk on the public.

Unfortunately that's when they need to! When they've got nothing. Trouble is, when you've got nothing,...whose sill listening?

A good AMD rig is cheaper than a good Intel rig. But if you want the best performance, AMD doesn't exist TODAY. I hope they can weather the storm until tra-la-la means something real. Why, in 2009 I will be the king of Italy!

What kills me is that they gave good ol' Hector a RAISE! The company's in the toilet, hemorrhaging cash, and the Board of Directors give the blighter a RAISE!

All this time, I thought the way you earned more money was by providing your customer with a superior product at a competitive price (i.e. by doing your job better than anyone else).

Obviously, I'm misinformed.

Revolution is such a beautiful word! It emptys the mouth of words and brings deeds to hand. ":O}

The good news is that he makes peanuts compared to the great majority of the breed. Perhaps there is justice somewhere.

I don't get it. They boast 45nm chips available within the next 12 months? They can't even release their 65nm chip way too late and not even bug free. I'll believe it if I see it...

AMD sure burned though a lot of good will in a very short time. A lot of people would have gone their way if AMD hadn't made that so costly to do so in terms of performance.

If I was building a lower cost machine with good performance, I'd probably buy AMD. I'm running an antique atm, but truth to tell, I don't need dual-core performance. Just 'cause the Jones' have a better machine? That doesn't bug me as much as it used to. But Hector? He's bothering me more than he used to.

It would depend on whether or not he runs his household like he runs AMD. Start out with a mansion end up with a lean-to on someone else's property..

Seriously though. I just a picked up a 6000+ and ECS board for $150. sold the board for 30 so it turned out to be a cheap start to a decent rig.

ECS may be falling out of favor, I'm not certain that their quality has slipped, just read it on the board about five months ago. Hope yours is a winner!
