508 score, wots ur set up earthsDM?

Anyone know how much of an effect running programs i.e. virusscan etc in the backround have on benchmark scores?

I had media player/stea, and MSN running in background (along with standard firewall AV etc so not sure how much effect this has)

I can remember running the older version of this test on my P55T2P4 with a K6-2+ 500 and a PCI TNT2. I got around 50 as my score. After moving all of my parts to a Soyo KT133 board with a Duron 750, that jumped to over 80!

maybe that's why my score is low. I got a new LG GSA-4167 drive that has a 2mb buffer...and is darn noisy.

Kinda strange too, becaseu i remember getting more before.

I tried it on my 2400+ with the psychotic 60X chain saw motor CDrom and it scores only very slightly lower than my 3200 @ 4000+ish.

They weight the CDrom for about 12%
