These are my latest benchmarks using driver v191.07 @ 3.51GHz. It's my highest overall scores so far.

I also for the hell of it ran Vantage on High to see what my system would do. Need a GTX275 or higher if I want to play on higher settings...

I like the fact that Nvidia keeps on improving their drivers! Same system but higher scores & better gaming performance!

I have not tested in W7 yet. i will try that tonight. I will also try on high settings to see if my system falls on it's face.

This is my vantage result with a small OC on the 250. Catch me if you can
PS. Is your 250 512 or 1 GB?

Exclamation Nvidia drivers 196.75 Benchmark Results!

The 3DMark Vantage benchmarks are running the latest drivers 196.75 & with Vantage updated to v1.0.2.1901.

OK, I tried a little experiment to see something & if it would make any improvement at all on my Vantage scores.
What I did was raise my Shader clocks up from 1512 to 1620 (36% OC) making sure of course that it was still stable with no artifacts which is was...

Wow...yea, there was a nice improvement in scores!!!
Not only did the GPU score go up but so did my CPU score!
I noticed right away that the benchmark was running much smoother without any jerky look to it & there was NO Artifacts at all so it's good to go with my shader cores running like this!

The Score went from P7121 to P7366 which is my highest benchmark to date!!!

The clocks I used for the benchmarks were
648:Core / 1512:Shader /Memory:1008 (Left pic)
648:Core / 1620:Shader /Memory:1008 (right pic).

So there's still some performance improvement left previously untapped to be had in this old 8800GTS!

Screenshots of the results below

Thumbs up 3DMark Vantage: Nvidia Drivers 197.13 beta results

Here's my latest bench using the newest beta drivers v197.13.
And yet again this is my highest Vantage score to date!

This is a WHQL-candidate driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, and 300-series desktop GPUs and ION desktop GPUs.

This driver resolves fan speed issues reported with version 196.75 drivers.

NVIDIA asks that you remove 196.75 drivers and update to either 196.21 WHQL drivers or to this 197.13 WHQL-candidate driver. (Which I did...)

New in Version 197.13

* Adds support for Next Generation ION.
* Adds support for GeForce GT 320, GeForce GT 330, and GeForce GT 340.
* Upgrades PhysX System Software to version 9.10.0129.
* Upgrades HD Audio driver to version 1.0.9.1 (for supported GPUs).
* Increases performance in several PC games from v196.21 WHQL. The following are examples of measured improvements. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration:

o Up to 13% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with a single GPU
o Up to 30% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with SLI technology
o Up to 13% performance increase in H.A.W.X with single GPU
o Up to 15% performance increase in H.A.W.X with SLI technology
o Up to 30% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with single GPU
o Up to 28% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with SLI technology

* Adds SLI and multi-GPU support for top new gaming titles including Assassin Creed II, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight, Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City, Mass Effect 2, Napoleon: Total War, and Zombie Driver.
* Enhanced SLI support for Metro 2033, Supreme Commander 2, Unigine, and World of Warcraft.
* Adds Ambient Occlusion support for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Need for Speed: Shift, Resident Evil 5, RUSE, and Street Fighter IV.
* Adds override anti-aliasing support for Mass Effect 2.
* Includes numerous bug fixes. Refer to the release notes on the documentation tab for information about the key bug fixes in this release.
* Users without US English operating systems can select their language and download the International driver here.

Arrow New 8800GTS high Vantage score of P7403!

Your GTS 250 is faster than my 8800GTS Chris & thats even with my card OCed by 30%...

But for what my card is it does OK for the most part.
I was surprised to see that the shaders were stable at 1620! This made a good diff in my Vantage score but most importantly makes my games play much smoother!

Edit: Once again I was curious as to if there was anything more to be had in the shader department...
Well, wadda know, there was!
The shaders now are at 1674 & this made yet another decent bump up in my Vantage score!~

So now my highest Vantage score is P7403, not
to mention my GPU score broke 6000!

How high does your GTS 250 OC to & what brand is it?

I haven't got around on playing with the card tbh lol. But I will do a test while OC tonight. The thing thats really nice is that the card comes OC from the factory! This is my card and I hope I'll replace it soon with a 5850. Was thinking of a 275 but the price is close to the ati card and the performace is better with the ati not to mention the DX11 feature. BTW nice OC there !

Thumbs up Latest Vantage Bench using v197.45 Nvidia drivers

Here's my latest Vantage bench [P7415] using the newest Nvidia Geforce drivers v197.45 whql.
Slight improvement over v197.13, but not much.
But all these small improvements to the drivers do add up over time
as I remember my score starting out at around 5000 to begin with!

Thumbs up Nvidia Drivers 257.15 Released!

I'm a little behind on this post as I'm usually on top of new Nvidia driver releases as I'm always looking for some more improvement to my gaming experience.
With the release of the newest Nvidia Forceware version 257.15 comes a bit of a performance bump & also some new control panel options & controls previously unavailable.

With that said these new drivers have given me a new highest Vantage score of P7420!
Keep in mind this is also with my system downclocked to 3.31GHz & still a CPU score of 25011!
A big thumbs up!

Edit: Oops...I forgot to say that these are still beta drivers so that's where you download them
at Nvidia, in the beta section.

Version:257.15 BETA
Release Date: 2010.05.24
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit
Language: English (U.S.)
File Size:123 MB

Anyways I've been gaming on them all day & they are rock solid stable on my system & that's with my card overclocked at 648/1620/972.
I also think the graphics look crisper if you will & more vibrant! I like the Performance option setting for Ambient Occlusion (new setting) as well!
