Thumbs down GTX 470 SC + 8800GTS Dedicated PhysX Card Results!

I was curious about running my 8800GTS as a dedicated graphics card with my new GTX 470, so I installed it this morning & ran some benches with some interesting results.

Instead of increasing my score it took it the other direction...
Seems because the G80 architecture isn't near as fast as the Fermi is, it ended up hurting the all around performance!
So I guess if I want to run a dedicated PhysX card it has to be a much higher performance card.
Well at least now I know & won't be curious about doing this anymore.

Results below...

I think to run any 4xx series card for physx it HAS to be 450 or above for any serious benefit. Some say even a 460 is needed for the 580's

EDIT*

Below geforce 250 will hurt the 4 series and up range cards

Yea I was thinking along those lines as well Nec after seeing the bench results firsthand!
I'd probably have to run a GTX 460 for dedicated PhysX to see any performance increase & if I was to add another card it would be a GTX 570 which I'd run SLI instead!

Awesome once the geforce 6xx series comes out i will upgrade but for now i think 3 x 465 is overkill.

Yea the 8 series compared to the 4 series in physx performance is a huge leap.
