172 millimeters of pure AC fed, case imploding power!

172 millimeters of pure AC fed, case imploding power!

Pictured here with a mouse and an 80mm fan for comparison.

I have grills for both sides to "shield" it, and to keep it from chopping my cables to bits. It's whisper quiet, and shoves a lot of air. I'm not sure on the CFM It's a tobishi model: 7956. It came from the spare parts pile for a CnC lathe that got retired at my work. No more Kitako, no more Kitako parts...

Some people and their dremmels...

This is going into my Duron 800's case.

Incredible! I need like 4 of those Hey! They should make 172mm to 60mm fan adapters so you could have a much quieter heatsink

That fan is like 5Lbs. All metal.

One fine way to rip your processor socket off the board.

(Yes, I know you were kidding.)

Actually, it makes no noticable noise in this room.

3x 120mm 12v
1x 120mm 115v
9x 80mm 12v
1x 40mm (in the hub)
then there's all the processor fans and northbridge, and video card coolers. (Made by me with mean little 40mm 5v fans. The sound like a dremmel unless you put plastic washers between them and the heatsinks, which of course, I did.)

Do you really think one fan is gonna make a difference?

Oh, and don't forget 10 mac 6100's with 60mm fans in their PSU's. (I'm guessing... they look like 60mm)

I need a cheaper hobby.

By the way, SurlyJoe... how many machines are you folding with? We are playing leapfrog on the list. Not for long though... I can't keep up.
