Hiding wires

Hi all,
i need to know whether what i'm planning is safe to do. What i was thinking, is running some of the wires from my devices behind the motherboard. Things like overly long PSU cables. Also, is it safe to mount my disc drives back to front, to hide some more of the cables? I read about a mod in an old copy of PCExtreme about a guy that did these things and it looked ace. So i want to know if it's actually safe to do. I don't really want bits of my PC embedded in the wall after i've just about managed to save all my files after the crash.

Also, i'm probably gonna be spraying my case copper coloured and have one side panel mirrored (is there such a thing as mirror spray paint?).

Thanks,
Scott.

Hm, so let me get this straight..You want to tuck away unused cables behind the motherboard tray?

You can put them behind the mobo or mobo tray. Just have to be gentle when shoving cables behind the mobo.

People do it all the time. I actually added painted plexi next to my mobo and on the bottom of my case to hide wires.Put the painted side down. Used standoffs to mount them.

i've hidden most of my wires with the wire covering tubes things. though they're not really hidden, they're just cleaned up a bit.

I'm suprised you don't use your cloaking technology.
