Arrow Case side panel modification...

Well this new V6GT CPU cooler is so big & tall that I couldn't close up my case!
There was no way I was going to leave the side panel off as it leaves the system open to all kinds of doom & disaster such as an accidental coffee splash.

So this morning I widened out the vent in the side panel that was already there & this is the end result.
Well, almost the end result as I plan on adding some trim to it to finish it off & make it more esthetically pleasing to the eye.

The next time I got the case open I'll take a picture so you can see just how big it is on the mobo...

Also, its day 2 of the TIM setup & yet the temps are very low with the average being 82F most of the time & a load temp of 108 @ 3.60GHz.
If the TIM (Arctic Silver 5) setup is anything like it was with the Zalman I should see about another 8-10c drop in temps in the next 5 days or so.
I have the vcore set to 1.280v. (1.272v actual)
Very efficient & effective cooler for this E8400. I'm very happy with my current system setup compared to what it was. Nice cheap upgrade!

wow! if you had a daed 120mm fan, a slim one, take the guts out and mount it to the panel with a custom fan grille.
