Question Thermalright SI-97

http://heatsinkfactory.com/cgi-bin/H...talogno=HS-010

so let me get this straight, the top part of the heatsink is hanging only from the heatpipes, with no support underneath?

That's sure what it looks like, isn't it?! I was looking at that thinking "Boy, I sure don't want that suffering from any kind of vibration". Surely they'd've thought about that?

When I was using my Giant 3 from thermaltake I noticed how painfully easy it is to bend heatpipes....there MUST be something else...

I would think the clip has a support on it.

There may be, but it won't need it, really. Heatpipes are quite flexible, but the orientaiton of the pipes should give it some strength, just like Shuttle's "Icepipe", which is quite rigid.
