i think none of the 1st generation could produce more than about 1600lbs thrust...

the british turbojet to fly was maybe a 500 lb thrust engine... very gutless

This thread has strayed many miles OT. Vantec CCK-6035D, anyone? Speaking of the Vantec, anyone used a 60-80mm fan adapter on it? As demonx wrote, the stock Delta 38 is especially loud on this Vantec model, because of its microfins.

I bought an 80mm Delta 67 cfm monster--with the idea of using a very short 60-80mm adapter to put it on the 6035D. Sure would appreciate any info about doing this!
++++++++++++

Back to the micro-turbojet topic. If the first Whittle?-made British full-scale turbojet produced 500 lbs of static thrust--it looks like the bad boy on the block micro-turbojet engine is 1/3rd as powerful. And very much smaller. ~55 years counts for something!

if phill put his mind to it, he could easily build something capable of at least 1000lbs thrust i reckon, its just getting the compressor and turbine wheels, though at that size they would probably need to be axial. and therefore he could get his own wheels cast pretty easily

Go for the Alpha 8045 instead. 80mm Silence with no sacrifice in performance.
