best case for cooling with or with out mods

i was just wondering what the best case was for low temps even if you have to mod the hell out of it to get these temps, because i was planing on getting a case for the first build i do before everything else and getting it the way i want it before i have everything in there.

From personal experience, I can only name two cases.

Thermaltake Armor VA8000
Thermaltake Tai Chi

Both are larger than standard ATX, especially the Tai Chi one, but if it's cooling you're after, these two cases deliver.

Believe me. =)

The Tai Chi is quite expensive though i gather and as me and Aghastpumpkin are both avid Custom PC readers it did get somewhat of a low score. But i would check out some other reviews first to make your mind up.

I guess the real question is what is your price limit...Lian Li cases seem to do fine if you can spring for one...

Check out the Cooler Master Stacker series, and the Silverstone Temjin's. Both place the PSU at the bottom of the case (where it belongs!) with separate airflow from the mobo area's.

If you can port all the fan exhaust through the bottom of the case maybe you can make a hovercraft.....

Good choice. The 830 in some ways has the "looks" over my 810, but I figured I'd opt for more space inside, since I might have to sleep in it if the Significant Other gets mad about the money I'm spending on the comp.
