Extreme Cooling Q & A Thread

Didn't see much in the way of extreme cooling on the site so I figured I would open up a thread to see who all uses it and offer my experience with it to those that are interested.

I have experience with Dry Ice, Liquid Nitrogen (limited) and single stage phase units. I can assist in anything from basic board prep to construction of a container or complete ground up phase unit build.

I have run a water chiller a couple of times. Got to get a charge in the one I have now. This is a subject that always interests me. It takes a lot of work to insulate and make sure you do not fry your stuff from condensation.

I've build a direct-die water cooling rig in the past. I'm playing with some ideas for a direct-die phase-change. I've got all the parts laying around here to build myself a phase-change unit, I just haven't had time to build it yet.

Time is the key factor for all of us anymore. Other than a few short breaks like this one to do a little posting I get maybe an hour a day completely to myself. If I really want to get something done I have to bring it to work with me. Pretty sad for a single man with no kids and a full toybox.

There's a whole world of women out there dude, go get some! ":O}

Had two different Vapo-chill's, got tire of the hassles for everyday use. Water cool all three boxes (2 mine, one wifes)
Started water-cooling the Vid card this year.

I remember Dan's writeup of installing a phase-change cooling system many years ago. Think the thing came from Denmark? Madre de Dios, that was good clean fun!
