8rda3+ WHAT HAPPEND?

OK so I had it running fine...everything was peachy...then it freezes...can't move my mouse..ctrl+alt+del nothing...so I turn it off and go to boot it up...the prom hits -33 and the board starts to post...it goes FF...then 00....and nothing happens...

I turn power off, clear cmos...still gives me 00 and nothing else...
I looked in the manual for the post codes and it doesn't say anything about 00

sigh. I just got this board because my 8rda+ died mysteriously...

God really hates me and doesn;t want me to have a working computer.

Welcome to AOA's Forums, isp1985!

Did you clear this mainboard's BIOS the "hard" way? As in: Unplug the power supply from the Power Strip; Unplug the ATX 20-Pin power plug from the m'board; Remove the CMOS battery from its pocket for 15 minutes? Then: Replace the battery; Connect the 20-Pin power plug from the PS to the mainboard; Re-connect the power supply to AC power?

If not, it's worth a try. Simply changing the jumper to the "Clear" position for a few seconds doesn't always work right.

Could heat be the boogie man here? Are you running at stock, or overlocked? I read that having a spare BIOS chip handy with some mainboards is a great idea. Too bad that one isn't included in the box that the m'board comes in.

The new bios killed mine. Try the 8RD33526 bios, it rules!

Hiya isp1985,

I have the same board .Not sure why it is freezing up on you. I do know that the bios can hard to reset. I have had to do the same thing. Unplug the power source etc.. One way it to reboot and hold down the insert key first off. That seems to work for me alot when I see oo or cf or ff. Hope you getting it working.
