Ok, I'm not sure here, is this patch to help with cooling when CPU is idle only?

Download it and read technote.htm, extensive wpcredit work... idle just the latest beta-feature. He dumped it long ago cause of problems - now its there again, as are problems Main reasons for patches are increased hd/raid performance and issues with soundcards like sb128, sblive. What you get out of it depends on your defaults of which most are hidden (ie. pci master read caching on 2+) - why some cheer and some cant tell the difference.

About the file you can download he say this:
"The beta version has been removed temporarily. Enabling Athlon CPU cooling in the recent beta versions was too dangerous. My next posted patch will not enable CPU cooling, at least not by default. 10/24/02"
