Hello fellows;
I got a dual boot system with win98SE and RH8, the problem is that since i installed linux my usb devices are no longer recognized under win98, but they work in linux i'm kind of stumped here!! . Under win98 device manager everything is ok no conflicts in the usb, but i got an device error >>PCI universal serial bus driver missing??? it has been like this since i installed the 8k5a2 board, and i have not been able to find the driver for this PCI(which i don't have!!) any way here are my specs:::

256mb ddr pc2700
GF3 ti200 64mb ddr
2 maxtors hd 30gig/40gig ata 100/133

Pretty strange.
A linux install shouldnt impact on windows.

Try reinstalling your 4 in 1 drivers.

May be you need to install USB 2.0 drivers, or reinstall.

Are you overclocking the FSB? If I remember correctly the USB is one of the first things to go if you overclock via the FSB.

got it working

Thanks for the answer guys, but yes i've tried to reinstall the drivers, win98, the latest 4:1 via, but no luck(i'm not o/c yet). also i've tried to install the new usb 2.0 driver but win98 doesn't want to take it keep showing an 132 error code during the installation, any way i went to device manager and point the PCI usb missing driver to the usb 2.0 from the epox site and it took the driver, it clear the PCI missing, but it created an usb host 2.0 error....but now my usb is working even with that!!! so i guess i can't always win .

thanks for u r help
