8K3A+ capacitor help.

When i was fiddling with my 8K3A+ i slightly bent a capacitor. maybe some 15-30 degrees.
I very carefully bent it back, and nothing seems to have changed thank god, but im still curious as to the point of this particular capacitor. and what could happen if it were damaged...

With the board in its normal upright poisition its a tiny little capacitor, about 1cm long and 0.4cm wide long and the furthest capacitor to the top right of the board. right next to the cap is written CT29.

My board is a 8K3A+ rev 1.2.

Epox tech guy? can you tell me what its for?

thanx in advance.
Mr poo.

well, if you gutted it by yanking a leg out, it is prolly wasted, but that doesnt nessicarily mean it will keep th eboard from working. if it seems OK, I'd use it and be happy I didnt kill it

If you just bent it a bit it will probably be ok.

That cap is part of the memory vreg (i think) as its on its own and the board is running its not totaly busted.

If you have any stability problems then you might have damaged it.

I wouldnt worry too much about it unless you have problems.

No, i just bent it a little, cursed a bit, then very carefully bent it back.
Its been a few days now, and the system seems as stable as ever, but ill keep an eye on my vdimm voltage...

anyone know OR SURE that its for mem voltage regulation?
