Slow HDD Don't know if theres a problem? any ideas? Hi have got a epox 8rda+ nforce 2 board with a amd 2600+ cpu, have got a 80gb Western digital 8mb cache special edition drive, which acording to a lot of sites and reviews supposed to be a very fast drive, some saying it beats sum scsi drives, but on my machine it seems slow, and when i run sandra to do a benchmark i get some drives beating it and all the scsi drives listed well beat it, i'm using the ide drivers from the nvidia nforce 2.0 pack, its called the NVIDIA® nForce(TM) IDE Controller in the device manager, and all my ide devices show as scsi devices, the other driver is called: NVIDIA NForce MCP2 IDE Controller. in the installation it asks to install this sw drivers or something and says its faster so i did but doesn't seem it, when i tried t go back i had a huge problem where i couldn't get my cd-roms to work any more, but there ok now on this driver where i see my devices as scsi. apart from the benchmark results don't seem to be anything like the reviews sayin it beats scsi drives. should i be using the older ide drivers not these ones? thanks
