Epox Nvidia Crush 18D Chipset Boards

**** has announced the NF7 v2.0 which has the Crush 18D chipset and official support for Barton at 400mhz FSB. HERE IS A LINK

Are there plans for Epox to make an 18D based board anytime in the future? Anyone care to speculate?

Given that nVidia has ceased production of the original Crush 18, and that the Crush 18D is a drop in replacement, I'd be very surprised if some of the 8RDA(+) boards don't already have Crush 18D on them.

In fact, elsewhere in the forum you can see evidence for this.

Is there a way to tell them (Crush18D Vs Crush18) apart w/o removing the NB heatsink on 8RDA+?

look between the fins, if the northbridge is silver with a black outside edge, it's the old one. the new one is completely black. if you didn't get you board in the last day or two, don't bother taking the time to look, you don't have a new one.

Oh, is there a way to tell them apart w/o even opening the retail box? I will be getting a 8RDA+ soon, just want to make sure I have the latest NB/SB onboard.

Wcpuid can show the chipset id correctly as "C1" for those 8RDA+ with Crush 18D chip on them.
