TecChannel.de says that VT8233A is also affected by this issue, is this true? They claim they tested a Shuttle AV-45GTR with the VT8233A southbridge, while the specs at Shuttle's website report it's based on VT8233.

Adjustable AGP voltage should definitely be something to look forward to.

Do you have any comments on the supposedly upcoming 8K7A2 that AMDMB was alluding to in their article on the Abit KG7???

Drool... the 8KHA2 and 8KHA3 have EVERYTHING I could ever want except an onboard NIC. With all of the other features, and ESPECIALLY with the 6 PCI slots instead of the useless 5/1 setups many choose, that's easily forgivable ! I'm going to be building a watercooling setup, putting $500-600 into it soon, so the extra voltage definitely won't go to waste ! What's the difference between the 8KHA2 and 8KHA3, though?? Also, did you finally remove PhoenixNet from all boards, or is it still on all of them except for the 8K7A? This is very important to what motherboard comprises my upgrades to go along with the watercooling... if PhoenixNet is still on there I'll almost definitely go with a different board and just voltage mod them .

Pheonixnet isn't in the 8K7A with the last official bios and the last beta available on this site.

Thanks for the info, but I'm curious on the 8KHA2/3 having or not having it...

/me dies of anticipation for an 8KHA3.

What is the difference between the two boards (8KHA2 and 8KHA3)?? Can we get an answer about PhoenixNet's presence in the 8KHA2/3?

By the way, since the board is still being made... PLEASE make it so the voltages can be set VERY high. It shouldn't cost any more money to add the options for extra voltage into the BIOS when you're already having the capability, so you may as well make it so everyone can put them to very high levels, so those of us with watercooling (*cough*me*cough* ) can go for broke without having to mod .

Let us put the Vdimm to 3.4v (I'm watercooling my RAM even... check out #rotor, or if you haven't heard of him go to hardforum.com and do a search)... let us put the vcore to 2.3-2.4v... let us put the AGP voltages high. Just put a quick warning screen that overvolting will damage your components without extreme cooling, and that if you haven't made your own cooling setup and know what you're doing to not adjust the settings or you *will* fry your components (something to that effect).

It sounds like Epox is already putting the voltages to be adjustable quite well, though . You're headed in the PERFECT direction: 6pci, good chipset, GOOD onboard RAID, lots of voltages, adjustments for everything, customizable timings, good board layout, 4 DIMM slots, etc. You're definitely right on your way to gaining huge popularity in the more extreme crowd, which in turn affects the PC building crowd, who in turn advise those who don't know how to build their computers (and have their friends build them), which equals more sales all around with much more satisfaction .

P.S. Sorry for the odd sentence structures, but I couldn't really figure out how to word everything well. They're far from incomprehendable, at least!
