 BIOS file shows up as BootVis trace file can i still use it to flash to the new BIOS (i don't think so)? if not, what program do i associate it with? thanks.

| Windows is stupid when it comes to file types - it works on the assumption that whatever comes after the last dot tells it what the file is. It's not clever enough to check inside the file to see what it really is (A la Mac, OS/2, Epoc and others) It should be ok to use it to flash with - what do you normally flash with?

| usually it just shows up as an unknown or with the same icon as the self extracting cabinet...but this time it showed up as a bootvis trace file so i thought there'd be a problem...i usually use the bootdisk method when i flash..
