Problem Flashing BIOS on 8KTA3+Pro

Hi,

I successfully flashed my bios on my 8KTA3+Pro motherboard and then tried to flash my HighPoint HPT370(A) BIOS in order to over come the following problem (Problems with 8KTA3+)

This is how it went,

I typed in load bios372.234

It then accessed the floppy and sounded as though it was reading it, it then said "Found adapter at bus 0, device 14"

I have left it for upto 10 minutes and after the above message it does absolutely nothing

That method is only for PCI based adaptors with their own BIOS - mainboard mounted devices that have their BIOS within the mainboard BIOS group require for a mainboard BIOS update to accomodate the alteration.

Translation: If you have a motherboard with the integrated Highpoint controller, the BIOS for the controller is part of the motherboard BIOS.

Ah right that makes more sense, so can anyone explain why I'm still having the problem stated here: (Problems with 8KTA3+)

I've flashed my motherboard to the latest bios version so why don't the latest raid controller drivers work?

To be short and sweet, I've no idea. Do the older drivers still work right? I'm presuming that EPoX offer the driver download for the board - do these work at all, or give the same problem?

Latest mainboard BIOS and latest driver may not be contiguous - they need to match - download the latest mainboard BIOS and then use the matching driver - not the latest.
