I think you can get it from the flange/middle pin of Q32 or Q36.

The one at the right side:

Thanks for the help Hurky
It wasn't till i plugged my Sparkle 400 watter into a Soltek 75DRV4 that I discovered the 3.3v was sitting at 2.83v.In fact just wondering how the 8RDA+ managed to get 2.88v DDR from 2.83v?Its a wonder the 8RDA+ was running at all.I have now adjusted it via an internal pot to read 3.4v at the above transistors you pointed out. Will see if it makes any difference.

Smiffy, you checking with MBM? If so that's your dimm voltage, not your 3.3v rail.

Hi Timbob
Checked it on the Soltek which displays 3.3v and ddr voltage, def 3.3v line was at 2.83v.Moved pot in supply and 2.83v went up to 3.33v.8RDA+ now seems to be creeping up on the fsb.

Will hunt around on board but can only conclude the DDR is derived from 5v line

at the mo at 231MHz.Does anyone have any rough idea of the limit I should try the 3.3v.Was thinking maybe 3.55 -3.6v.Just to see if it has any further effect?

Anything over 3.0 volts is really, REALLY pushing your memory's tolerance for pain.

If you decide to go above 3 volts, understand that you run a serious risk of completely destroying your memory. There are some chips that like volts; others are extremely sensitive. Maybe one of the other members here can provide more insight.

When I used to have Samsung memory I was told here (AOA), that Sammy's like high voltage. But you aren't using Samsung. I really wouldn't push it past 3.3v from reading this thread:
epox answer to the 2.96vdimm problem

But others might think differently. There are links available if you do a search for Memory+ voltage+mod .That was just one of many.
Further effects could be a fried motherboard.

I think smiffy if talking about the 3.3v rail voltage independent of the vdimm voltage. It looks to me that that he needs less vdimm voltage now that he jacked up his 3.3v rail. Any ideas if this actually works? I've noticed that my mb undervolts the vdimm voltage...Will increasing the 3.3 rail increase the vdimm?

smiffy, what power supply are you using?

EDIT: Sorry, now I see .....sparkle psu.

Tom

I see. I completely missed that part.

In his case though, he was initially running low on the 3.3. 2.83 is .5 volt or about 15% below nominal, and about 5% or about .1 volt out of spec. I expect that is why he saw the improvement.

Hi all
yes I was talking about the 3.3v rail voltage.I have jacked it up to 3.4v.I did verify with a meter that when the 3.3v was at 2.83v the memory was supplying 2.88v which makes me think it may come from the 5v line.It is still at 2.88v now the 3.3 is at 3.4 so that hasn't affected that.May try 3.5 and see if that gives any further improvement.Although bumping mem voltage up from 2.77 to 2.9 has no effect so maybe twinmos BH5 is maxed out.and chipset voltage is at 1.8v
