8RDA+ and FSB problem Hi all, Just got me a couple new sticks of PC3200, Geil Golden dragon, YUK! but it was free ![]() Anyway, I was running sammy pc2700 at 185 fsb (no prob with that) but this stuff won't do 200FSB+ at volts up to 2.9 in dual channel (does it all day single though and 192 dual @2.63v), so I figure it's probably VDD voltage. I tried *everything* with regards timings and voltages, slots etc, etc. This is a rev 1.1 board and I hear you can't adjust the vdd on them without the mod? it does show in BIOS as adjustable though but I have not tried to adjust it yet. In the manual on page 2.1 I get this info nVidia nForce2-128 SPP (crush 18D) +MCP-T (or MCP) AGPset and in nForce Utility I get this info Nforce information MCP version: nForce2 MCP-T A3 SPP/IGP version: nforce2 SPP A2 Will it be ok to up the VDD a notch with this revision or better to mod it before I try, don't wanna burn nothing out ![]() I better mention I have active cooling on the NB and the case temps are not a problem, I have plenty good cooling, CPU is an unlocked XP2700+, all multis are available to me and I will have to buy a decent Solder iron to mod it but will if I have to ![]() Cheers in advance for any help. Axel No worries, I been doing some reading on this rev and I will mod it, looks like the only way it's gonna do it. Admin, you can delete this thread if you wish, no probs m8.
