8KDA3J and HD activity/power lights I've got an 8KDA3J installed in a Antec Sonata case and have the case wires for hd activity/reset/power connected to the motherboard prongs on the motherboard. My reset button works fine but the hd activity led and power led arent lighting up. I have them connected properly as far as I can see. Anyone else experiencing similar problems? Also, I installed a pair of Kingston Hyper X 512meg dimms in slots 1 and 3. Kingston is a prefered Epox memory provider. The dimms are rated at 2.5-3-3-6-1 but I cant get my system stable unless I drop the timings to 3-4-4-8-1. Changing the slot arrangement didnt help. Install one dimm and the rated timings work out great, its not until i install both that I have the problem. I have a CG clawhammer (3400+). Would it be the memory causing the problem, the cpu, or the motherboard?

I have Antec Plus View chassis with the same board - all of the LED's and cpnnections work correctly provided they are wired up correctly - where there is assignation for polar connections rather than switches, please ensure that you have correctly wired for positive and negative - otherwise the symptoms as above will persist. In relation to the memory - note that all memory with A64 is at the mercy of the on-die memory controller - loose timings do not really affect performance due to the lack of latency in an on-die solution, but it generally doesn't like tighter timings with PC3200. Timings as defined within the JEDEC specification are fully supported by the CPU; Hyper X isn't in the JEDEC envelope and as such is not going to have such support for it's own capabilities.

Prolly Samsung every time - gets validated for every chipset and processor combination - causes no problems and overclocks well - and great VALUE!
