Private Messaging

I have unfortunately had to disable my Private Messaging due to reasons I won't go into, but all of those that do need me for important and pressing matters for myself personally - please do e-mail me directly.

I would but your email is disabled according to the system. he he he

I still cannot get my 8kda3+ to see the raid 0 in win2k. I slipstreamed sp 4 in a win2k disk per the boards instructions. No joy.

When I try the win xp disk it sees and formats the array.

I REALLY don't want to use win xp.

Any suggestions?

Try the follow steps and see if they work. Correct me if the steps are wrong.

1. Get another PC, Pop the Motherboard CD, Create the nVRAID driver floppy from it.
2. Connect the Raptors, and disconnect all the other HDs.
3. Enter BIOS, Load Optimization pre-set, Enable nVRAID Option.
4. Hit F10 after the initialization screen to enter nVRAID utility setup.
5. Create your RAID Array, Clear the disks, Exit, Reboot.
6. Enter BIOS, Boot Sequence CD/HD (NV SCSI/RAID Array), Reboot.
7. Pop in your Windows CD, Insert the Raid Driver Floppy.
8. Hit F6 once you see the prompt to install 3rd party Raid driver. (This step is particularly important. Everytime you rebuild your array configuration, You have to load the drivers from your floppy during Windows installation.)
9. Load the NV Raid driver and the NV Storage Controller from floppy.
10. Now, your XP setup should be able to detect your strip array. Create your disk partitioin. Continue with your Windows Setup. Do complete NTFS format the first time after creating it.
11. After you enter Windows, complete reformat whatever partitions created. Shutdown, connect additional HDs.

Hope these help. GOOD LUCK!
