8K5 series are almost here

I have heard that the new EPoX 8K5 series based on VIA KT333/VT8235 chipset is almost here. This week or the next we shall begin to see the first reviews, I hope.
The new boards will feature V-Link 2 between the NB and SB, USB 2.0 native support, 4DDR DIMMs, AXP internal diode OFFICIAL support, 6 PCI slots, 1 AGP, RAID(HPT 372 or HPT 374, depending on model), and even SeriaATA(only one model).

I am VERY excited about this news, I want to get my hands on one of those boards ASAP and see how it performs/overclocks.

Almost forgot, the 8K9 series based on KT400 will be launched early next month, with support for DDR400 and AGP 8X.
Now EPoX is really spoiling us

I hope the revision problems will not be present anymore. Darn, those were the most annoying.

I think all the 8K5 have onboard LAN, and I want that too, I just hate NICs. My SBLive is my olnly PCI device and it gave me no problem so far.

Why do you want one when the KT400 is right around the corner ?

With my 3Com 3C980 Server Nic and Allied Telesyn AT-2700 (based off the AMD PCNET+ chipset) Server Nic I certainly don't mind using a NIC.

Heh, just for the fun of it. I won't buy it, just test it if I can.
