8rda3+ and 2500+
I was thinking about getting a 8rda3+ to replace my 8k5a2+ motherboard and continue using my 2500+.

I was talking to a buddy who said the 8rda3+ will restrict the multiplier to 12.5x like my current motherboard unless I blow a bridge on the CPU.

I only have PC2700 so I was hoping I could run the barton at about 14x176=2450mhz or 12x200=2400 at relaxed timings.

Will the 8rda3+ allow higher multiplier with the 2500+ without modding the cpu?

No. 12.5x is the maximum multiplier for a 2500 Barton on the 8RDA3+ unless you mod it.

hmm, I guess I'll have to get with the Abit NF7-S, but I really wanted to stick with Epox.

Naaaa, get yourself some good cheap Twinmoss/winbond 3200 & you'll never need a multi past about 11.5.

That company you mentioned still havent replyed to my plea for help from last August, they must really care about their customers:rolleyes:
