Counter Strike: Condition Zero.

Iv'e just recently started playing this over lan with my brother again but it get's pretty boring quickly these days. Im wondering if anyone know's any good mods/conversions for it?

Im looking for something to update the gfx to make it look better(on my side as my brother's pc probably wouldn't take to well to it)so i have something nicer too look at . And possibly something that changes/add's features to/in the game for a bit more fun.

Keeping in mind people that some mods/additions seem to be independant on steam which i absolutely refuse to install due it's major crappyness. Really sucks not being able to play it online though man that would be kool.

Don't have steam installed can't join anything but lan.If they release some version of counter strike that doesn't use steam my god would i be so happy. Even if it used gamespy arcade it's a hell of alot better.

EDIT: Is there any cool plugins for this? also im not sure if it'll work for me i have counter strike: condition zero retail version.

I realize steam isn't the greatest platform in the world, but that's no reason to completely avoid it. I personally like having 10 games in which I don't need any CD's or keys when installing and playing it after the first time. There is no way to use AMX Mod X without Steam BTW.

Yeah most seem to be this way. And i would prefer my hard disk space to remain as it should not a larger chunk taken out then the original size of the game because steam wants to be fancy and have it's own pathedic excuse for a filesystem that isn't really a filesystem
