Didn't read the article... just had a look at the pictures. Looking at the pictures I would say they are each very good. I don't think I could rate one above the other... they each do different things better than the other

I'm uploading a Trailer of Haze now, unfortunately, it's all prerendered...

Also, Haze will be multiplatform, so those pics may very well, and likely to be from the PC version.

I think they will just have to be played. Great to have graphics out of the way and be able just to worry about game play...one less thing ya know?

OK, I don't want graphics out of the way either, not when they look like this! ":O}

Looking at the pics it does seem that Crysis looks a bit more detailed. That said, the $500-600 PS3 does hold its own against what likely will be a $1,000+ PC to play at those detail levels.

They both look great in my opinion. Crysis seems to have more detailed lighting on the models though, and haze has that typical 'console' feel to it: too much brown and too much bloom

Very nice first FP post.

Back on subject. Haze looks like a glorified Halo. This pic shows how Crysis has much more detail. The character skins are a little plain in Haze too.

Thumbs up

Haze isn't that far behind but as uncle Sam said a looong time ago; "Consoles are like a Toyota, all the same, always dependable, minimal work...PCs are like a muscle car, tweaked and fine tuned to perfection with my own hands to race and tear though any game I throw at it." Crysis I am ready to forget Haze ever existed ! Come to daddy !

I can't tell all that much until things move. (and not that much then!)
Physics may decide the issue or one of them may fall to pieces in implementation.... I just never know until it's on my monitor...

So far, the physics in Crysis look sweet. Everything is interactive. It has been a long time since I have been this excited about a game.

Chris, your new hardware should do fine. Need to push that C2D a little more though....LOL

Gee, I've never heard that before! Let's all pre-order! LOL!

I belive we are speaking in a comparative manner with regards to two games and trying to choose between the two. In that context I have to stand by what I've posted. I'm unwilling to make such a choice on the basis of the information I have. You may have more and better information, hence your certainty... fanboy.....LOL!

I think some of the Crysis shots look too sharpe, but then the level of detail is great

I just hope the playability is good, otherwise its great graphics for nothing

The ps3 only has what would be classed as last years high end graphics chip in it.
I believe it has been said to be equivelent to a 7900GT.
However the cpu behind the ps3 is a brute, making use of 6 cores at once is going to take some work (ps3 has 7 but one is always dedicated to os)

For sure pc's can out do a ps3 already however its one set of hardware that everyone has, anything released for the pc has to take account for entry level machines, to mid range, old high end and the current bleeding edge cards systems as well as combinations of all of the above
ie and 8800 ultra with a sempron

ps3 titles will get better as they start to push the system, an interesting tid bit from the making of f1 champ edition, is that each of the 22 cars in the ps3 version has more polygons / textures / the works, than the entire field had put together on the final ps2 version (so more than 22x lod increase) and that was just the cars not to mention it runs at 720p instead of 480p / 576p

So you can basically get a console that has a 7900GT equivalent in it and a superior CPU for £350. Yet a retail PC with the same games-power would cost about £1000 - and it won't even have Blu-Ray.
What are people complaining about!!!!
