I purposely bought the cheaper 40GB unit, just because it is very easy to upgrade the drive. I've got a 160GB drive in there now.

That's my plan as well; buy the lowest-cost version (especially since now, AIUI, the only significant difference between the various units is the drive size), and upgrade the drive if I need to.
