Can Red Alert be installed on Win2k?

I currently have xp installed and can't install the dammed game grr.. it was so much fun too . Can it be run in 2k?

I know this game is a lil old.. but it was fun dammit..

If it's saying it requires win95/98, then NO

I had need for speed (racing game) and that refused to run in any other non-NT compatibility mode.

Man that sucks.. I had traded some zip disks for a bunch of games which I used to play that I liked.. and can't even play them I wonder if they'd play in ME... but... ugh.. I'd never install ME to even try

I have a dual boot setup for backup purposes, but also as a lesson learned from Need for Speed... if I want to play a win95/98 game I could reboot into windows 98 and play

It's been awhile since I've set up a dual boot box.. Should be easy enough though.. gotta find where I put my copy of 98 se grr

Yup, set 2 partitions, make D:/second partition your windows 98se partition and install it there, then install win NT/2000/XP on the C: partition... also remember that if you use NTFS, you won't be able to see anything on the C: drive when browsing in windows 98se (though I think running MS network on the windows 98 machine will allow some security level access... haven't done that in over a year so I forget myself)...

How did you manage to install it on win2k mooky? I just tried and it said it can only be installed on win 95

My brother found a patch somwhere for this so he could play red alert on 2000- works fine- ill make him become a meber- and tell ya!
