need some Memory

hi all,
in my search to complete my ideal setup, i am looking for some decntly priced, decent quality memory. I am after 1Gb Dual-channel DDR400/200Mhz/PC3200 CAS 2.5 DDR RAM. Ideally, it should be under £100 which should also include delivery and VAT. I want it to make my system stable and decent for gaming. I have found some GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 Ultra Platinum CAS2 (GL1GB3200DC) for about £90 including delivery and VAT, that's from OCUK. I was originally going to go for some Corsair XMS but i'm not sure what would be ideal to make the system better at overclocking and gaming and such. So anyone got any ideas. I've got about 3 weeks to decide before i get payed again so i have a decent amount of time.

As long as its not value line = poor overclocks

Hmm, used Kingston...it was mediocre.
Used Mushkin, great for the money.
Used Pqi - not to bad, it works at least.
Right now I'm using 2x1GB sticks of PDP preformance... I gotta say, I love it. Lifetime warranty to =)

Not sure how much it would in be in euro..
But it was about $115 a stick in the U.S.

UK is still in pounds (£), rest of europe is in Euro though, including ireland. So mushkin then. I'm not too keen on G Skill, i've heard bad things about some of their memory. So Muskin or Corsair.

EDIT: I think it's gonna be Mushkin 1GB DDR HP3200 High Performance Dual Channel (2x512MB) CAS2. It's just over £95 with VAT and delivery and actually seems pretty decent. I've also been recommended Mushkin by someone in one of my other threads as someone who used to work for Epox recommended it.

Please provide a link to your RAM, Madcat. And yes, the fact that you can't overclock worth a damn with those sticks is probably due to the fact that you have 4 of them and they might not be BH5 or TCCD or anything rated well above 200Mhz, I don't think anything other than BH5 can make use of voltage above 3.4v anyways, so I doubt that's the problem.

it's BH5 but I've taken two of them out and still not made it to 200 MHz. even at 1T. The problem is it need 3.2 with 2sticks to go just 210, but I have 4 so I'm presumming 3.4.

Something's up. 210 should be nothing for that RAM. Some guy claimed 270Mhz with a little over 3.3v in a review there. My RAM will go to 225Mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 3.2v Memtest 86+ and Prime95 Torture Test 100% stable. You might wanna get some new stuff, 2x1Gb PC4000 for $200 looks good.

Me? I've got a fairly cheap 500 watt Rosewill power supply, was really meant just to get my system up and running but I haven't had a single problem with it so I haven't replaced it yet. It was like $40 when I bought it. My next one'll be a 400watt modular Enermax Liberty probably.

however it helped me which means that a 500w PSU can do what I need it to. I always though exile had some 1KJ PSU or something.
