ROFL. He loves it! Just kidding mate

One of my mates has something similar, its a sub in a cushion. Lay it down and the sub is padded. You lay on the cushiony mat and rest your back on the cushioned sub. Feel the bass.

First thing I thought of when I saw it was.... Actually I cant say. Porbably breaks numerous rules.

So Logitech are sending you a new one! +rep to logitech. As for my mouse, i've had this diamonback plasma for a couple of months. It was either a copperhead, diamondback, or a logitech G5 with Carbon Fiber casing, man did that look 1337. I can't belive that before i got this diamondback, my other mouse was as small as a notebook mouse and i thought it was a decent size! Now it just feels weird. I thought that if i'm going to have a gaming rig, why not have the mouse to go with it.

Usually, when i move my mouse too far back, it falls off the desk and stops about an inch from the floor and just hangs there, matrix style . If it was a heavier and wireless mouse, it'd have been dead within 2 hours of getting it. Trust me, violent gamer at work here

As for keyboard, let's not go there. (PC-Line, only got £3 ).

The Logitech G5 with carbon fibre casing looked awesome, i would of bought that one but the Diamondback was probably better overall.

Well I think I've learned a few things here.

First, I learned that aghastpumpkin is a WHACK CHILE!! LMFAO! That Buttkicker set up is the best thing since sliced RAM!

I didn't know that Logitech is Swiss-owned. This is good! It happens that the cymbals I use are Swiss as well. (Paiste, ALL Paiste, and nuthin' BUT Paiste! ) Truly, these instruments are works of art musically as well as physically.

Where did you see a c.f. G5?? I hadn't known about a G5 w. a carbon shell. This is cool, because I have several carbon bits on my road bike. Now I'm thinking: could I perhaps get lucky on the replacement, and Logi might send me a carbon G5? :hmm:

Naaaw...

Ah HA! So it's the G7 wot has the carbon shell. Must be to offset the extra weight of the batteries. Otherwise, it would make no sense to use c.f. for the G5 to lighten it, then give you the weight cartridge to add weight to it.

G7 does look noice tho'.

Welp, the DHL guy dropped the new G5 off today, and I have to say that it actually feels & functions better than the original unit:

1) This one doesn't give unwanted clicks when my fingers are just resting on the main R & L buttons. The other G5 was extremely sensitive to this even when brand-new, and it was quite annoying. Go figure.

2) The replacement's grippy texture is not as rough as the original. This qualifies as a "w00t" b/c I got so I didn't like the excessive roughness of the 1st unit. As Goldilocks said, "...and this one is just right!"

3) The SetPoint software is doing the job as it should now, and it was fully updated AFAIK with the 1st unit. For instance: on every reboot, I had to manually pull up the SetPoint app, then click into the custom settings section, then the "game" section, then click out of it, just to get my settings activated again. 4 extra clicks at very sluggish cursor speeds just to get going...what a PITA that was!! But it's not happening now.

Hmm...musta got a lemon the first time.

Well. I've cleaned my desk a lot, so it's not so messy anymore. But it does get like that.

I have a G5 mouse too and I must say I'm not really satisfied with it. I liked my previous mx500 better. The mx500 has an extra side button and worked better on my mouse surface. And this speed setting at the top of the mouse is totally useless. I often press it accidently with the palm of my hand during an online gunfight. Needless to say that the gunfight, regardless which game, is lost then
I'd give you my G5 for free if I could

I've had some problems with the G7 as well. The laser is very picky, and you need to change your mousing style to use it. For one, if you are even 1mm off the surface on one edge, the laser loses contact with the surface. This means if you row, and your finger or thumb ends up caught under the mouse, or if you come down and hold it too rigidly, it will lose traction.

I'm adapting to it now, and its getting better. I do use the sensitivity control when gaming to adjust for the weapon im using. Lower sense for rifles, medium for SMGs, and maximum for scope zoomed rifles.

Hey Wolf, did you see the new G3? It looks pretty good, except the side buttons might be in the way.

I don't have a problem with the side buttons. I used to have two, which I extensively used on my MX500 but that one seems to suffer from packetloss. So I bought a new one, thinking the design is the same however the forward side button is missing and this sensitivity switching button has brought me nothing but trouble. I'm also using a fUnc mouse surface which I've been using for several years. Now I'm only able to use the flat side of it because the laser doesn't cope well with the ribbled, and better, surface.
That G3 mouse looks nice but it'll probably be too small for my hand.
