Samsung 80nm DDR2 memory unveiled

"Samsung is the first to announce mass production of 80nm 1Gb DDR2 memory. While monolithic 1Gb DDR2 is available today, it is produced with more costly and less efficient 90 nm technology."

Does "monolithic" mean that there's one chip on the DDR2 Dimm? Nah, wouldn't be that cool.

Its a small b so gigabit per chip, so 8 chips per gigabyte stick of ram i believe

Thanks, Keith. Wow, suddenly remembering buying four 4 MB 30-pin memory sticks for my first PC. $100, thank you very much. At least some things improve with time!
