Inserting memory card causes USB card reader to get removed All of a sudden inserting a SD memory card into a four slot internal USB card reader causes the device to get removed from the system. I get the remove USB devices dialog box. I can re-boot and it's back. I don't think it is a static 'zap' issue either. I have no issue with a CF card. I'm running 2k if it matters.

One time it didn't. It was a warm boot. Then (I believe) I tried a cold boot and it still didn't show. I had to disconnect the internal cable and re-install it to get it to show. I tried it again this AM and it works fine. I even inserted and pulled out that card several times and no issue. ![]() I only have one card since it is only used for one device. It's 128MB.
