uh, yeah...
are you thinking of connecting to your laptop via VPN through two Rasberry Pi firewalls?

Thing is, if a device is on the network, then it's prone to sniffing and man-in-the-middle attacks. That's where the VPN idea came in - if you can positively identify a machine you can talk safely to (For example, using TLS1.2 and certs from a CA you control) then you can mitigate the immediate network at least.

Is there a way to do a firewall/VPN with a Linux box?
And include wireless connections too?
And be a portable Rasberry Pi?

Sadly I never got my Pi.
Somehow I got lost in the mix of pending orders and now its been cancelled.
Ironically I can't afford one right now.
My co-worker that sits next to me at work got two of them already.
I'm thinking Christmas present for myself.

I'd quite like one, perhaps to build some kind of weather station.

get one!
you will probably get it within two weeks.
If I had $45 I would try it again.

I have an idea... buy me one and I'll trade you something for it.

I'd love one, but I'd just sit here and admire it while despairing my own lack off imagination... A weather station sounds like an amazing project Danrok!
