Matrox Dual Head?

Anyone else use one? After using a 2560 X 960 desktop for the last few months, it would be hard to go back to a single monitor.

Not personally, but a video junky friend of mine with a flatscreen swears by those cards.

on a scale of 1-10, the 2D quality gets a 43 in his book.

The 2D is great, especially with flat sceens. I keep dreaming of a pair of 21" Cornerstones.

Yeah, I'd say dual flatscreens would rock. Dual anything would rock, but I'd have to be able to game... hence, Matrox wouldn't work for me.

**BTW, what is a Cornerstone anyway?**

I used to run a G400 and i recently replaced it with a elsa geforce3, the drop in image quality on my iiyama pro 410 was quite noticable, its just not as sharp as the G400 was.

I dont have room on my desk for two monitors any more (i used to use dual head) and i do miss it.
The geforce3 more than makes up for its failings in sheer speed, Q3 looks great at 1600x1200.

G450

I'm currently using a G450 Dual Head.
The 2D graphics of this board is truly awesome.
Compared to my previous ATI AllinWonder and GeForce2MX cards, the graphics on the whole is a lot sharper. Hopefully the next Matrox card will address the 3D problem.

I still haven't found a truly good reason to use 2 screens, but dual screen mode is fun.
