Monitor Ghosting to the Right.

What are the possible causes and remidies please?

22" viewSonic P225F. I have a 4600Ti on one box and a 6800 on the other using a Belkin Omni Cube 4 port switch. it's not so faint and always to my right facing the monitor.

You may have unshielded speakers and one is too close to the monitor. Look and see if you have anything that may be emitting an electro-magnetic field on that side. I had an electrical converter, the transformer thingie that plugs in the wall and then changes from wall current to a small plug that runs a printer, sitting next to my monitor once that did that.

I once had played with my monitor settings too much and had it looking horrable on one side also. If you can reset your monitor and start from default settings you may want to try that as well.

It has been my experience that 'ghosting' of the video is usually caused by cheap cables or inexpensive KVM switches that aren't up to the task at hand. Try pluging the monitor directly into the video card and see if the problem goes away.

If it's ghosting to the right, then it's definately a signal integrety problem. If it ghosts to the left, then something /really/ wierd is going on.

Do as Gizmo suggests, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then you might end up having to reduce either your resolution or refresh rate in order to minimise the ghosting. I've found cheap cables to be a serious source of ghosting. The Belkin KVM switches are usually fairly good, but you might be asking it to do more than it was designed for.
