I am trying to upload the file right now, it is 165 mb and im only on 128k upload so it may take a while, is there a way i could upload via FTP instead?

ive finished uploading the video, its a 165MB .MOV file that goes for about 7 minutes. it features real world renderings done on the unreal engine 3.0 using full SM3.0 pipelines featuring normal mapping, displacement mapping, high dynamic range lighting, and many other cool effects enabled by the 6800 series. there is a voice over throughout the film explaining the technology used in the scenes as well as how it works.

anyone with an NV4x who would like to see what the chip is really capable of should have a look because it is truly something to look forward to!

hopefully it will be added to AOAfiles soon

dsio...We are definitely looking for someone to head a graphic team! This would entail writing for our front page, finding and uploading files (with help from our files team of course!) and over seeing our graphics section in the forums. I'm really hoping you'll consider taking this on for us!

Thanks diso...What's the most likely cause of my being unable to run Rivatuner? It generates errors eveytime I try to open it!

Would this relate to your Errors Dan.

Not sure if the version has a difference in your case but do you have the latest, Riva Tuner 2.0 RC 15.3 NY Ed

using the 71.XX drivers I get a message in rivatuner stating that the drivers are untested and gives me the option to ignore so it could be a combination of your using an older version of rivatuner and unofficial beta's thats doing it, the newer 15.3 release should sort it

That's the ver. I'm trying to use. A box pops up before it can load and says it's generated errors and windows feels totally compelled to close it...I embellished a little ":O}

My current drivers 71.24 are great and I'm loath to change them....sigh...

Rivatuner does seam to have a few bugs when it comes to newer drivers and cards the biggest of which is the overclocking problems, turning off an OC in rivatuner can disable the overclocking tab in the driver applet etc etc. RT seams to hate the driver applet and nview which is understandable as it tries to replace both to some degree. i guess its called release candidate 15.3 because for the RT crew bug fixes are a weekly event. poor them

the "this driver is not supported by rivatuner blah blah" is just a disclaimer to let you know that if your card blows up it may be the crooked driver u installed that did it and not RT.

if you can get away with it use either RT alone or Nview and the driver applet. if you switch between the two they change each others settings and the world turns bad :\

daniel i'd be more than happy to be part of the AOA 3D graphics team, just tell me what you would like me to do

Pretty much write! I'd love for you to write articles for the front page explaining the world of graphic cards, reviewing them where possible. We're pretty lose around here, allowing folks to do what they enjoy most.

The "Graphic Team" is pretty much dedicated to AOA's looks; creating Graphics for us as seen on the front page and our AOA Banner. Currently we are looking at new colors for the forums.

But what I had in mind for you was all things relating to Graphic cards. Ya got any other areas of expertise? You can be sure we want to know about them! LOL

In the mean while you could try to breath a bit more life into our Sound and Graphics Card Topic by seeing to it that questions get answered either by you or another, but that they get fast answers, solid information.

You've already contributed to my meager store of graphic card knowledge. We really Don't have a Graphics cards team...create one! LOL

Just be sure your enjoying yourself as you go along. Truth is I've been waiting for someone with time and expertise, not to mention a love of these amazing cards.

I'd be more than happy to entertain your thoughts and ideas as to how to promote this aspect of AOA.

Danrok and Pitch have been reviewing games for us, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if your interested in doing that as well...it's ALL GOOD! ":O}
