I tried both. The type 1 didnt feel as good, and had slightly worse performance. from what I have seen, the vast majority of people found type 2 better, so thats what is on AOAFiles.com now. I try not to confuse people too much and just release notable, or the better of the driver releases.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Reference Video quality issues with the new driver.

Tried dsio and Daishi suggestions.

Still the same.

77.50XG is kool though. I'm happy enough.

So, why go for these drivers rather than the 77.72 that are available from Nvidia?

The 77.72 set is heavily bugged. The 77.62 set is beta, but is actually very smooth, and this particular set has been modified by TweaksRUs.com to enhance quality and performance. Personally, I am using these drivers, until Nvidia releases a bugfix 77.72 set. How they got WHQL certification for them is beyond me.

Typicial! Well, I shall heed your advice and go for the beta. Hopefully this will sort out my HL2 problems. I've been having the "memory error" since I upgraded my machine 3 weeks ago, maybe this is my lucky day....fingers crossed and all that.

The 77.62s, even the XG modified ones, have video corruption in some applications, but only for a few people. Its an odd problem. About 1 in 50 people have the problem, but most dont. The 77.72s on the other hand are dogs. Video corruption for alot of people, game corruption, and other issues.

I would get the very next TweaksRUs.com XG modified set that is released, so keep your eyes peeled we will have them as soon as they are released.

TweaksRUs have decided not to mod the 77.72s due to their problems, so the next version will be the one to get.

there is no risk of damage. When you install the drivers, select the laptop option, and it should be fine

Yea, you should. Uninstall first, then use drivercleaner pro to get the last bits that are left over. It gives you the best, most reliable, driver performance possible.

Yea, but use the reborn option when installing it. There wont be a huge improvement due to the age of the card, but every little bit counts
