FX 5600 problem

Does anyone know of the clock frequencies I can use on my FX 5600 to stop the error 106 messages coming up. It says it's a stress test so I'm guessing I need to stop stressing my card, but the thing is I'm only playing CS 1.6 of all things. Not the most graphically demanding of games.

the stress test is from L1 -> L2 if that makes a difference.

Thank you to anyone who can help, this is causing my game to crash and then I need a reboot so I don't have pixels mised up during the game.

Are you frequencies at stock? I believe a 5600 was 270/460...or something very close. If not, put them at stock and see what happens, also make sure your GPU isnt overheating.

I have not changed the frequencies since I bought the card, as far as they know it is at factory settings. The present clock speeds are:

2D

Core 270
Memory 550

3D

Core 325
Memory 550

The only thing i have changed is the fact that I've turned the fan to 'always on', in hope that I can stop the card from overheating.

I was using the nvidia drivers, now I'm using modded ones in hope of fixing the problem but it's made it worse:

Tweaks r us Xtreme G 77.76
