![]() OKAY! im really really NEW in LINUX. Basically, the Fedora Core 4 detected my mobo, and installed drivers. I could find drivers for my 7800GTX as well in nvidia site (http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html). Now, my config is NFORCE 4 SLI AMD 64 3500+ (Wicherster) 7800GTX 1024MB RAM I do use windows, but i rally want to sintall my PCI cardś driver here in RED HATś fedora core 4. Shouldnt I choose thed driver: Linux IA32 Latest Version: 1.0-7676 ? I kept the file in my root directory after logging in as root. WHen i type the exact comand in terminal given in the nvidiaś site, it says sme Id not found and stuffs like that. How do i really do it? Need detail steps if its possible. btw, the generic driver im using in lunx now, can it cause any kind of hardware damage? Thanx a lot.

Generic driver is fine, just doesnt give any 3D capabilities. Dont log in as root. Never log in as root. Use the SU command to perform root functions.
